With more than twenty years in the field of business systems analysis and application
development Alex is able to provide the right solution to resolve any business requirement.
Prior to starting ARP Consulting, Inc., Alex worked extensively as both an independent
consultant and a corporate team member. His experiences have shown him to be a proven team leader and solution provider.
His areas of expertise include:
- Database design and development
- Data migration and systems integration
- Transact SQL and stored procedures
- Report writing with tools such as Crystal and Active Reports
- Novell and Windows network installation and maintenance
- eCommerce and web development
- Modeling and specification design tools such as UML
Alex began developing his computer skills while attending Northwest Nazarene College
in Nampa,ID where he graduated with honors in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Computer Science. In his final year Alex worked as acting Director of Academic
Computing providing technical support for both professors and students.
Alex went on to develop FoxPro database applications, perform system support and
staff education at General Information, Inc. Since 1991 Alex has worked as an independent
consultant. Shortly after becoming a consultant Alex began an association with the
consulting firm Analytical Software, Inc. He worked with them on a variety of enterprise
projects for such varied customers as the Seattle City Light, the Seattle Art Museum
and Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc.
Alex worked with Analytical Software until late 2000 when he accepted a position
as Business Systems Analyst with Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc. a large self storage
provider, listed as a member of the Russell 2000 Index. Until Shurgard was merged
with Public Storage Centers, Inc in 2006, they operated more than 600 self storage
facilities across the U.S. and eight European countries. Among other accomplishments
Alex played a key role in creating Shurgard’s centralized enterprise management
and sales application.
On a personal side, Alex loves to travel and visit state capitols and foreign
countries. He is also very active in his local church.
